Mr. Henry Behrendsen, aged 53 years, a well known citizen of Prattville, died at his home here early last Friday morning. He came from Germany years ago and located in the South, coming to this city about twenty years ago, where he began the business of baking. He had been sick for several months and his death was not unexpected. The funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon, and the burial was immediately after in Oak Hill Cemetery. The services were conducted by Dr. E. M. Craig, his pastor. He leaves surviving him his widow and one daughter, Miss Mary Behrendsen, both of this city. The deceased had many friends here who mourn his death and whose profound sympathies go out to this family who stand so high in the esteem of all our people.
