Ova Elias Abel, 77, died Dec. 23 at his Quincy residence. He was born Sept. 13, 1911 in Carrollton, Mo. and had been a resident of Quincy since 1949, coming here from the San Francisco Bay area. Abel was a building contractor and for 10 years owned the Quincy Lumber.
He was also a member of the Clampers. He is survived by his wife Muriel; son, Russell of Orinda; daughter, Jane Rusk of Discovery Bay; brother Wayne of Carrollton, Mo.; sisters, Billie Hull of Manteca and Dorothy Campbell also of Manteca and two grandchildren. No services were held at his request. Friends who wish may donate in his name to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements were by Anderson Mortuary.
