Lloyd R. Falvey
April 10, 1943 - September 18, 2022
Lloyd R. Falvey, age 79, passed away peacefully at his home in Manitowoc, surrounded by his loved ones on September 18, 2022, after dealing with over a year of bladder cancer.

Lloyd was born on April 10, 1943 in Cato, son to the late William and Genrose (Brunner) Falvey. Lloyd started his education at St. Paul's Catholic School and graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1961, which was followed by two years of Teachers College.

In 1970 he pursued a job at Manitowoc Public Utilities where he retired from in 2000 as Plant Operator with 30 years of service. On April 16, 1974 Lloyd married Paulette (Koeppel), his number one fishing partner. In their 48 years together, they loved traveling as far as Canada to embark on their favorite sport with close family friends, plus fished on The Bay and Eagle River area at their cottages. It was the best of times. He had a unique sense of humor along with a big heart. Family meant everything to Lloyd EXCEPT when a hunting trip called! Lloyd was an avid duck and turkey hunter, but still when deer hunting season rolled around you would find him with his son, Tony in a deer stand. He took all of his hunting very seriously, that is why this man sat in that deer stand opening day from morning till night, in the beauty of sunshine or the whiteout of a blizzard. Lloyd was a loner and put many miles on his trucks traveling to various states, provinces, plus Canada and Alaska, hunting geese, bear, antelope, mule deer and moose. Returning from many hunting trips came many many stories. He loved sharing his adventures, but in return the people he told enjoyed hearing them. Many friendships were made during many poker and sheepshead card clubs. He was a poker fanatic and thought nothing of driving three hours up north to play cards with his buds and drive back home the same night.

Lloyd is survived by his wife Paulette; his son, Tony (Laura) Falvey, Two Rivers; three daughters; Cindy (Lee) Hoeffner, Whitelaw, Wendy (Jorge) Crespo, Hopkins, Minnesota, Theresa (Alex) Falvey Hunt, Manitowoc; eight grandchildren, Wesley Schmidt, Hailey (Justin) Wolf, Nathan Crespo, Destiny (friend Taylor) Falvey, Sierra Falvey, Tyler (Tia) Hoeffner, Amber Hoeffner (fiance Chris Duescher), and Quincy Hunt; and eight great grandchildren; Viv, Ember, Analeigh, Wyat, Brehlon, Ashlyn, Emberlee, and Raegan; sister, Marilyn Falvey; brother, Randall (Mary) Falvey; sister-in-law, Patti (Erwin) Spaude, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, other relatives and many close friends. Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents; William and Genrose Falvey; sister: Darlene Falvey; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roman and Dorothy Koeppel; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Peter and Doris Koeppel.

Cremation has occurred at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory of Manitowoc, and a celebration of life for Lloyd will take place from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 23, 2022 at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc.
