Michael "Steve" Moor, age 60 of Brighton, passed away Wednesday, October 5, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born September 16, 1962 in Detroit, the son of Theodore and Jean (Boomhower) Moor. He is survived by his wife Nikki, children Erica, Erin, Elise, Erik, Heather and step daughter Faith Gillette. Grandfather of Colson, Lincoln and Wyatt. Also survived by his brother Randy and three nieces. Preceded by his parents and brother Rick Moor. Steve was a 1981 graduate of Brighton High School and a had a 45 year career as an area firefighter serving with both Brighton and Howell Area Fire departments and was recently promoted to Lieutenant. He spent over 38 years in funeral service. First with the Keehn Funeral Home in Brighton and most recently with MacDonald's Funeral Home in Howell. As his family would jokingly say, Steve's passions were being a fireman first, a Harley Davidson enthusiast second and spending time with his wife and family third. He will be mostly remembered for his quick wit, sense of humor and mischievous smile. A visitation for Steve will be held Friday, October14, 2022 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM and 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Watkins Funeral Homes, MacDonald's Chapel of Howell. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM at 2/42 Community Church in Brighton. Visitation at the church 10:00 AM until the start of the Service at 11:00 AM.
