Alice Marie Parramore, 76, went to be with her Lord September 21, 2022, after a brief battle with brain cancer, at home surrounded by family. She was the wife of Michael G. Parramore for 54 years.

Born in Tallahassee, FL, Marie was the daughter of Henry C. and Lila S. Mills. She graduated from Leon High School in 1964. Following high school, she attended Chipola Jr. College where she met the love of her life, Mike whom she married in 1967. She went on to earn her B.S. in Social Work from Florida State University in 1968.

Marie loved the Lord and was a member of St. Paul's UMC. She was an avid FSU football fan who enjoyed seeing games with family at home and on the road. She will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother (G-mommy as she was affectionately called). She was adored by her family and they were her pride and joy. She had 2 wonderful daughters, Deborah Ann and Heather. When Deborah was born, she dedicated her life to being a stay-at-home mom. Marie excelled at motherhood and was the foundation of her family. She was her family's constant supporter and cheerleader. She was Mike's biggest supporter through his career and many moves. After 30 years of marriage they returned to Quincy, FL to call home. Marie was a city girl but fell in love with the country life.

Marie is survived by her husband Michael G. Parramore, her 2 daughters Deborah Ann Dotson (Darryl), Heather Ozley (Robyn) and her 2 grandchildren Clayton Dotson and Addison Ozley. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry C. Mills and Lila S. Mills.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church followed by a graveside service at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, 284 McCall Bridge Road Quincy, FL.
