Toki was the daughter cat of Cindy and the sister of Tucker & Tablet cats. She lived with me Tucker and Tablet in Port Orchard WA. Toki enjoyed playing with cat toys more than any cat I ever lived with the whole 11 years we were together. Toki was scraggly looking when she showed up at my yard, and when I took her in she BLOOMED IN HER APEARANCE & personality I was blessed to have her as my friend & family member. When she started sleeping in the house in summer of 2011 she slept in bed with Tucker & Tablet & I, but she would not allow Tucker & Tablet near my head or upper body in the bed? She would wack them if they wanted near my shoulder! She had a way of letting me know she had rules and inforced them with meowing & a little claw here & there! She was intimidating sometimes but I realized she was just being bossy. Toki will be missed by me & was a real blessing to have & I enjoyed watching her play with all the different toys I had bought her ❤ . She was one of God's greatest gifts.

Toki was diagnosed with thyroid disease hyperthyroidism last December 2021, but the medication did not stableize her T4 level which should be 4.5 it was 7.5 to 10.0. Her weight was just below 5 or just above 5 pounds & it was normally 8 pounds, so medication never stabilized her weight or thyroid levels. Doctor did not even explain what symptoms were for this diagnosis. She played with toys the whole time we lived together & went out doors all the time. I never had an adult cat that played with toys all the time and I enjoy watching her play & bought her lots of toys. Toki was very loving ❤ and she & the boys slept with me in bed in fall of 2011. With thyroid disease cats eyes change & they eat a lot & get thiner. In December of 2021, she was gone for a day & I was concerned. I found out through lost pets page on Facebook a neighbor had caught her in a cage trying to catch her cat?? You think she would of let her go when she realized it was not her cat!! I Decided to take her to vet to find out why she was lost weight.
Loud meowing was a sign something was wrong, but I have no idea what the normal symptoms were for cats with thyroid problems VET never explained anything, but on Google I looked up symptoms & it sounded awful! I finally put her to sleep as I could not stand to see her wondering around in yard so thin & I wanted to give her a chance to adjust to medication, but meds did not lower thyroid level. I kept giving her more & more food but she did not gain weight.
So I will miss Toki the Pocket aka Polly Pocket, or the Polly Girl. Little Polly will be missed & Tucker my Tuxedo cat seems to not realize she is gone.
