Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Robert and Nancy Roberts Bryson, Sr..
Robert proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church for many years, where he served the Lord by teaching Sunday School and serving as a deacon. Robert loved to camp and being outdoors among nature. His greatest loves were his Lord, his church, his family, and his fur babies. Robert was a loving husband and father, and his presence will be forever missed by his loved ones he leaves behind but his memory and legacy will continue on through each one of them.
He is survived by step-daughter, Charlotte Poole (Larry); step-son, Stephen McCall (Karen); sister, Mary Dubose; numerous nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his beloved wife and parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Jim Bryson and Eugene Bryson.
Burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
