Judy was born on October 4, 1948 in Manitowoc, daughter of Bettye (Sittman) Denis and the late Alvin Denis.
She is survived by her mother: Bettye Denis; five children: Brenda (Ed) Kocourek; Bruce (Sonya) Kortens; Barb Kortens-Remiker; Jon Kortens; Jay (Nikki) Kortens; twelve grandchildren: Steven (Shannon) Kocourek; Nicole (Alex) Reno; Austin Blake Kortens; Jade Ackley; Cody Austin; Evan Ackley; Michaela Remiker; Anna Kortens; Austin Joe Kortens; Brandan Kortens; Cayleigh Kortens; Dalton Kortens; seven great-grandchildren: Piper; Kael; Dylan; Dustin; Kolbe; Colton; Iris; one brother and two sisters-in-law: Jerry (Bobbie) Denis; Lynn Denis; father of her children: Mike Kortens, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her father: Alvin Denis; one brother: John Denis; one niece: Jill Harris; one great niece: Isabella Cooke.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 1122 South 8th Street, Manitowoc. Pastor Jeremy Vance will officiate.
