She was a homemaker and also worked as a waitress at Cold Springs Restaurant for over 50 years before retiring in 2003. She was a member of the Hamilton United Methodist Church.
Betty married Carl Akers Jr. on August 31, 1952 in Hamilton and he passed away December 27, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 sisters, Mildred Bressler, Ruth Sutton, June Robinett and Mary Bradtmiller; 3 brothers, Keith Baker, Max Baker and Van Baker.
Services will be 2 PM, Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street, Waterloo IN with burial to follow in Hamilton Cemetery, Hamilton, IN. Calling is 3 hours prior to the service from 11 to 2 Wednesday at the funeral home.
