Albert Russell Blanchard, 48, of 803 S. Martin Luther King Street, Elizabeth City, died at Winslow Memorial Nursing Home, Elizabeth City, Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010. Funeral services will be held at St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church, Elizabeth City, Sunday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Ricky L. Banks officiating. Burial will be in the Blanchard Family Cemetery, Hertford. There will be no public viewing. The family will receive friends at the home of the deceased. Stallings Funeral Home, Elizabeth City is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Blanchard is survived by his father, Watson Blanchard; his mother, Erma Blanchard; his wife, Mary Turner Blanchard of the home; one step-daughter, LaTisha Turner of Elizabeth City; two step-sons, Usaac J. Turner of Raleigh and Marvin T. Turner of the home; two sisters, Andrea Blanchard of Hamber, Conn. and Michelle Blanchard of Hertford; two brothers, Kenneth Blanchard of Belvidere and John T. Blanchard of Hertford; and six step-grandchildren.
