Countess of Iguaçu by marriage. Legitimised daughter of Emperor Pedro I of Brazil and his mistress Domitila de Castro, Marchioness of Santos. She never received titles from her father due to his marriage to Empress Amélie de Beauharnais. However, Pedro recognised her in his will, but left her no inheritance, just asking his widow to help her grow and give her education.
