On June 23, 1962 she was united in marriage to Joseph A. Rathsack at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on April 7, 2014.

Vicki took pride in being a Mirro Hero working for the Mirro company for many years. She also worked for Aluminum Specialty and Data Exchange as a data entry key punch operator, before the computer age. She volunteered for the Adult Day Care, loving all her Alzheimer friends. Vicki was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, enjoying working for the rummage and bake sales with the St. Clare's Society. She was a long-term member and volunteer of the Lincoln Park Zoological Society enjoying her time serving the visitors at the special events earning her a volunteer appreciation award. The flower gardens that Joe and Vicki planted over the years were enjoyed by all who visited and drove by. She was an avid sheepshead player being part of many card groups. She loved visiting and having lunches with her various groups of friends. She will always be remembered for her sense of humor in being able to make everyone laugh and her ability to connect with people and make friends seem like family. Once you were her friend you were one for life as displayed in her 70-year friendship with Rita Novak.
