SULPHUR -- Graveside rites for Aleta Jean Elmore, 88, Madill were Saturday at Oaklawn Cemetery with Larry Holder officiating.
Born May 22, 1912, at Olney to J.W. and Buena Hearrell Sapp, she died April 12, 2001, at Madill. She married Odes L. Elmore on Jan. 15, 1934, at Pauls Valley. He preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 1984.
Raised at Sulphur, she moved to San Diego in 1941. She lived there for 30 years before moving to the Cumberland Cove area in 1970 and later to Madill. She worked as a beauty operator and as a salesperson. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one sister, Wanda Pierce.
Services were under the direction of Watts Funeral Home.
