Elsie C. Nelson
Two Creeks - Elsie C. Nelson, age 88, town of Two Creeks resident, entered into eternal life Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at the Aurora Medical Center of Two Rivers. Elsie was born March 6, 1930 in Hartford, CT to the late Thomas and Dorothy Church Bombetto and was a graduate of the Bulkeley High School. She married Robert L. Nelson and he preceded her in death August 15, 2013. She was employed as a bookkeeper for a chain of drug stores for many years. Elsie volunteered for the former Two Rivers Hospital, and for the Manitowoc Co. Humane Society. She was on the Board of Director's for the Manitowoc Co. Zoo.
Elsie is survived by one sister: Rosalie (Garry) Thornock, of Virginia Beach, VA, nieces, and nephews, and by her special friends: Everett and Beth Bergeman, of the town of Two Creeks, and Marian Rand of Mishicot. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by one sister and three brothers. Private family funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018 at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home in Mishicot, with Pastoral Minister Christal Wavrunek officiating, with entombment to follow in the Knollwood Mausoleum, Hwy. 310 Manitowoc. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for the Manitowoc Co. Humane Society.
Elsie stated that " God granted me 88 years on this earth. My family and friends who knew me best know all there is to know. They know the sad, the bad, the good, and the happiness. They know my failures and accomplishments, and my strengths, and weakness. They were the important people in my life. For those of you that did not know me, it really doesn't matter. I hope God is with me on my final journey."
