Loretta S. Truettner, age 85, a Manitowoc resident, died Saturday, March 27, 2010, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center.
Loretta was born on Aug. 22, 1924, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late John and Clara (Kohlbeck) Spaeth.
Survivors include her five children: Fred and Lonnie Truettner, Sheboygan; Sandy and Emmett Wagner, Manitowoc; Gary and Joan Truettner, Manitowoc; Keith and Barb Truettner, Manitowoc; Don Truettner, Waukesha; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one brother: Bernard F. Spaeth, Manitowoc; one sister: Rose Metzger, Manitowoc; and one sister-in-law: Dorothy Spaeth, Janesville. Nieces Nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
Loretta is preceded in death by one great-granddaughter: Nicole Kemnitz; one brother: LeRoy Spaeth; one sister: Mary Ann Kubsch; one sister-in-law: Delores H. Spaeth; one brother-in-law: William Metzger; and the father of her children: Frederick Truettner.
There will be no services. It was Loretta's wish to be cremated and laid to rest at Knollwood Mausoleum.
Pfeffer Funeral Home and All-Care Cremation Center is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff in the CCU at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center for their compassionate care and support given to Loretta and her family.
Mom was an excellent cook and we will never forget her remarkable sense of humor.
