65, of 135 C. K. Lewallen Drive, Oneida passed away suddenly early Thursday morning, August 19, 1993, at her home. Mrs. Baker was the daughter of the late Elmer (Boog) Phillips and the late Etha West Phillips. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Elmo Phillips; and one nephew, Bill Wright. A member of the First Baptist Church of Oneida, Mrs. Baker is survived by the father of her children, Norman M. Baker of Illinois; two sons, Norman E. (Eddie) Baker of Oneida, and Wayne Morris Baker of Somerset, Ky.; two special granddaughters, Lesley Baker and Belinda Baker of Somerset, Ky.; five sisters, Selma McGibney of Cincinnati, O., Ottie Sexton and husband J.C. of Cincinnati, O., Delphia Baldwin and husband Roger of Oneida, Edna Heath of Oak Ridge, and Lucille Wright of Atlanta, Ga.; two brothers, Claude Phillips and wife Sylvia of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Edward Phillips and wife Nelda of Cincinnati, O.; special nieces and nephews, Robert Phillips of Ohio and Gerri Phillips of Louisiana, Philip, Joan, Peggy, and Mark McGibney of Cincinnati, O., Jim, Larry, Rebecka (Becky), and Mitchell Sexton, of Cincinnati, O., Dorris, Reecia and Roger Ray Baldwin of Oneida, Renelda Phillips of Cincinnati, O., Beverly and Charles Edward Heath of Oak Ridge, and Phill and Ceil Lynn Wright of Atlanta, Ga.; and many other friends and family members. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, August 22, at the West-Murley Funeral Home chapel, with Rev. Philip Kazee officiating. Rev. Kazee also sang. Burial was in the Hazel Valley Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Doug Whitis, Paul Sexton, Charles Stanley, Ronnie Smith; Ron Craft, and Larry S. Sexton II. West-Murley Funeral Home in Oneida was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
