Tony Vizzuso, 64, 1901 Federal Ave., died at Alliance City Hospital at 5:50 p.m. Wednesday, following a sudden illness.

Mr. Vizzuso was born in Wellsville, April 3, 1918, to Nicholas and Dominica Dunzi Vizzuso, and had lived in this area all of his life. He was retired after 32 years at Alliance Machine Co., where he was employed as a welder.

A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Vizzuso was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church, Christopher Columbus Lodge and Dante Society. For 20 years he was a coach, manager and umpire for East End Athletic Club.

Surviving are his wife, Jennie (Cook); a son, Nick of Alliance; his step-mother, Mrs. Jennie Vizzuso Jannelli of Alliance; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ann Koleman of Alliance and Mrs. Joseph (Thelma) Vadini of Parma; five brothers, Ben and Patsy, both of Homeworth, and Dan, Rocco and Paul, all of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Regina Coeli Catholic Church, with the Rev. Paul Tobin officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
