Tringali, Richard C.

Richard C. Tringali, age 85, of 2000 Kellner Street, Manitowoc, died Tuesday morning, April 16, 2013 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

He was born on January 10, 1928 in Brentwood, Missouri, son of the late Joseph Pedroli and Aida (Casali) Tringali. In 1933 the family moved to Chicago, Illinois. Richard was a graduate of Lane Technical High School, Chicago, Illinois, Class of 1945. He then entered into the United States Army. Richard attended Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, was a member of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity and graduated with a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering. He married the former Grace Mueller in 1956. Grace and Dick moved to Manitowoc and he was employed for 26 years at Hamilton Industries in the product development department where he acquired several patents. Grace preceded him in death in 1984. He then married the former Barbara Brisch in 1986. Richard was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish where he was a member of both the Men's Choir and Resurrection Choir as well as an Extraordinary Eucharist Minister and was a member of the Monday Night Prayer Group. Richard was a past member of the St. Francis of Assisi Stewardship Committee. He is the current president of the Manitowoc County Serra Club, a Medicare helper and a Holy Family Memorial Hospital Eucharist Minister. Richard led the communion services at River's Bend. He was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #710 and the Manitowoc Elks. Richard was past chairman of the Catholic Charities Golf Outing and a member of the Green Bay Diocese Catholic Charities. He also organized and led the Hamilton Alumni Retirement Program.

Survivors include his wife: Barbara Tringali of 27 years; his children: Sue (Dan) Johnson, Menomonee Falls, WI, Rick (Sarah) Tringali, Racine, Donna (John) Sowinski, Manitowoc, Robert Tringali, Milwaukee; six grandchildren: Jennifer, Melissa, Christopher Sowinski, Conor Johnson, Jillian & Carolyn Tringali; one sister: Aida Albrecht; and three sisters-in-law: Mary Tiger, Betty Lochman and Martha Tringali. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by a son: John Tringali; his step-father: Mario Tringali; a brother: Joseph; and his mothers-in-law and fathers-in-law: Anna & Albert Mueller and Michael & Marie Brisch.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m Saturday, April 20, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Richard Klingeisen. Entombment will take place at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.

The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2013. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. led by Deacon Kenn Nelesen. Friends may also call Saturday morning at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo, Manitowoc, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m.
