WINNIE JOHNSON OBITUARY

Johnson, Winnie Chris

Winnie Chris Johnson

(Richard)

January 1, 1933 ~ April 25, 2017

Winnie, Chris, or Mom, she answered to all of them. For her first 30 years, her family and friends from school here in Two Rivers, knew her as Winnie. When she moved to Arizona in 1963 she traded Winnie in for Chris, but to her 8 children, there was no confusion, she was always and forever will be, Mom.

Regardless of how you came to know Mom, or at what stage of her life you met her in, you knew you found someone special. She loved helping those in need, both in the family and in the community. She dedicated her life to working as a substance abuse counselor, helping others with their battles. She also worked with Child and Family Services. For that she will always be remembered and cherished, by far more, than any of us, will ever know.

Chris was preceded in death by her parents Wilhelmina and Joseph Richard, brother Larry, sisters Margaret (infant), Frances, Lou and grandchildren Heather, Darin and Juli.

She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Marc Johnson. Most of her life with Marc was lived in Hawaii working at her career caring for those in need, and trying to figure out how to beat Marc at his game and their shared passion, golf. She moved back to Two Rivers, where she spent the rest of her years, loving her two sisters she now leaves behind, Marie Klein and Shirley Andrews, with their wonderful children and families.

The eight of us that call her Mom, are Glenn, Bob, Dave, and Graig Habermann, and four daughters Susan Tovar, Lori Colussi, Kim Cunliffe and Cyndi Lion. In addition, Chris was blessed with 21 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren.

Chris will be missed by all that were blessed to have her in their lives.

Forever in our hearts and cherished memories.

Rest Peacefully Beautiful Angel
