Dorothy A. "Dort" LaFleur, age 86, of 1810 Lincoln Street, Two Rivers, died earlySunday morning, August 21, 2011 at Aurora Medical Center, Manitowoc County.
Dort was born July 10, 1925 in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Louis and Helen (Suchoski) Petrashek. She attended Sacred Heart Parochial Grade School and was a member of Sacred Heart Church where she was baptized, received First Holy Communion, Confirmation and was married. Dort was a graduate of Washington High School. On April 8, 1967 she married Kenneth H. LaFleur at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on May 21, 1995. He was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary and the Two Rivers Senior Center.
Survivors include two sisters and one brother-in-law: Helen and Dick Ertman; Emily Kraftcheck, all of Two Rivers; and one sister-in-law: Hazel Petrashek, Two Rivers. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Leo Petrashek, Elmer and Arlene Petrashek, Clarence and Betty Petrashek; and one sister, Betty Jane Petrashek.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Reynebeau. Entombment will be at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, from 5 until 7 p.m. where a prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday morning at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the morning prayer service at 10 a.m.
The family wishes to thank the Doctors, Nurses, Hospice and all who cared for Dorothy.
