Rochelle D. Stock, age 65, of 312 Woodridge Place, Manitowoc, entered eternal life with her family by her side on Saturday morning, April 3, 2010, at the family residence.
Rochelle was born on May 21, 1944, in Two Rivers. She was the daughter of Hildegarde (Weyer) Buechner and the late Elmer Buechner. Rochelle was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1962. On July 11, 1964, she married David Stock at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. Her career was in the field of nursing with Holy Family Memorial Medical Center and the Hannah Home. Rochelle also was employed with Bestway in Newton and also for more than 40 years she did the office and clerical work for her husband's company, David Stock Trucking. From January 2000 to July 2004, Rochelle traveled with her husband, David, all over the 48 Continental United States hauling classic cars. Rochelle was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church where she also was a member of the Ladies Aid and mixed choir.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years: David; one son and daughter-in-law: Larry and Vicki Stock, Two Rivers, Wis.; one daughter and son-in-law: Cheryl and Todd Johnston, Manitowoc, Wis.; her mother: Hildegarde Buechner, Manitowoc, Wis.; two grandchildren: Brette Petkevicius and her fiancé, Joel Donlon; Trevor Fredell-Stock; three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Roger and Sandy Buechner, Manitowoc, Wis.; Dale and Marge Buechner, Redding, Calif.; David Buechner and special friend Wendy, Green Bay, Wis.; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father: Elmer Buechner.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, 7531 English Lake Road, town of Newton. Officiating will be the Rev. Victor Headrick with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church on Tuesday, April 6, 2010, from 5 to 8 p.m. and also on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorials to be directed to St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church or Holiday House.
The family would like to convey their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Grifitt and his staff at Aurora Bay Care Center, Green Bay. The family would also like to recognize with heartfelt thanks their angels Dawn, Sheila and Tiffany from the Aurora VNA Hospice in Green Bay.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
