RACINE - Gloria Rae Antreassian, 64, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 19, 2006, surrounded by her family.

Gloria was born in Racine on November 8, 1941, to Raymond and Claudine (nee: Merritt) Wyatt. She married Rene Antreassian in Waukegan, Ill. and had been married 39 years. Gloria dedicated her life to helping the developmentally disabled through Shepherd's Home in Union Grove, RCOC, and as a Matron with the Racine County Sheriffs Department. She also enjoyed her time waitressing at the Fifth Street Yacht Club, was a great cook, loved to bake, and enjoyed dancing. Gloria was always full of joy with a smile and a contagious laugh. Her passion was her love for the Lord and bringing people to Christ.

Survivors include her husband, Rene Antreassian; children, Lisa (Michael) Mehevic, Raymond (Kim) Christenson, Renee Nelson, and Andre (Lori) Antreassian; grandchildren, Alisia, Natalie, Jana, Michael, Raymond Jr., Ashley, Caleb, Matthew, Lexi, Andre Jr., and Aaron; great-grandchildren, Emmanuel, Nathaniel, and Gabriel; sisters, Trionne (Joe) Herling and Florence (Gene) Beery; and brother, Charles (Joan) Wyatt. Gloria is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and grandson, Bradley.

Memorial services for Gloria will be held at Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God, 1230 - 6th Street, on Friday, September 22, 2006, at 7 p.m. with Gloria's son, Rev. Raymond A. Christenson officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of services. Those attending the services may access the church parking by way of Marquette and Water Streets. Gloria's family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Mullane and Kelly, as well as the Oncology staff at St. Mary's Medical Center for all of their care and compassion.
