James "Jim" Franklin Dodds, age 81, died Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born July 16, 1935 to Joe Bond Dodds and Frances Dorman Dodds in New Albany, MS. He lived the past fifty years in Aberdeen where he was a member of Aberdeen First United Methodist Church. He had a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Ole Miss. He served in the US Air Force stationed in Alaska. He was a C.P.A., an avid fisherman, and a dedicated family man.
Services will be at 12:00 noon, Friday, December 30, 2016 at Aberdeen First United Methodist Church with Bro. Mark Covington and Dr. Carl White officiating. Burial will be in Oddfellows Rest Cemetery.
Survivors include three sons, Jim Dodds (Sherry) of Aberdeen, MS; Frank Dodds (Tammie) of New Albany, MS; Bill Dodds (Cami) of Ft. Worth, TX; seven grandchildren, Drew, Wesley, Alex, Christy, Tristen, Landon, Cooper; two great grandchildren, Aaliyah and Emery; a niece, Frances (Carl) White.
Preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Kathryn "Kay" Lockhart Davis Dodds and one sister, Barbara Jo Beville.
