LEO S. JERABEK

Leo S. Jerabek, age 85, a Manitowoc resident, died on Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Leo was born in Kellnersville on Sept. 29, 1924, son of the late John and Pauline (Walecka) Jerabek.
He attended Kewaunee High School, graduating with the class of 1943. He went on to further his education at the University of Oshkosh. Leo served our country in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. On Oct. 4, 1945, he married Lorraine Eis at Randolph Field in Texas. Leo was employed at Paragon Electric Co. in Two Rivers, as Manager Production Engineering Department.
He also worked at the Manitowoc Company, first as a senior industrial engineer and then as General Supervisor of Transportation, Shipping, and Stores, retiring in 1985.
Leo was a life member of the Manitowoc Yacht Club and a member of Lakeshore Snowmobile Club.
Leo is survived by his wife: Lorraine, Manitowoc; three sons and daughters-in-law: Jerry and Kathy Jerabek, Chicago area, Ned and Carol Jerabek, Santa Fe, N.M., and Jeff and Amy Jerabek, Salt Lake City, Utah; two daughters and two sons-in-law: Connie Eis and husband Jim Dunn, Stuart, Fla. and Leah Jerabek and husband Rick Gerarden, Milwaukee; and two grandchildren: Elizabeth Jerabek, Brooklyn, N.Y. and Jill Jerabek, New York, N.Y. Nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends further survive. Leo was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, June 28, 2010, at Knollwood Mausoleum Chapel, town of Kossuth. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Knollwood Mausoleum Chapel on Monday morning from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at noon.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the Jerabek family with funeral arrangements.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the staffs at Harmony West and the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center for their compassionate care and support given to Leo and his family.
