MRS. EARNIE M. JONES, 71 DIES
Mrs. Earnie M. Jones, 71, wife of Roy A. Jones and a resident of Milford, Indiana, died Sunday in Memorial Hospital in Greensburg.
While she had been in impaired health for a year, she had been in a serious condition for only three days.
A native of Greenup, Illinois, she was the daughter of John and May VanHouten Sarchett. She was born on February 22, 1893.
She had resided in the Milford Community for a number of years. Her marriage to Roy A. Jones took place at Greenup, Illinois, on February 14, 1912.
The survivors include the husband, Roy A. Jones of Milford; a daughter, Mrs. Howard (Margie) Carter of Milford; three sons, Kenneth C. Jones and Harold P. Jones of Milford and Walter A. Jones of Greensburg; 16 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She also leaves several nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, two brothers and a grandson.
Funeral services will be Wednesday in J. H. Porter & Sons Funeral Homes, the Rev. C. Emery Smith officiating. Burial will be in Milford Cemetery.
