Adam William Garnetti, 28 of Winter Park, FL was taken into the arms of the Lord February 3, 2008. Adam was born August 16, 1979 in Rochester, Ml and lived in Birmingham, MI until moving to Winter Park in 1993. Adam graduated from Lake Highland Preparatory School in Orlando in 1998 and earned his Bachelors degree from Stonehill College in Easton, MA in 2002. All who knew Adam knew he had a deep love of life, of his family and his many friends. As a youth Adam was drawn to sports, most notably ice hockey, first in Michigan and then Florida. In pursuit of this dream, as a 17 year old Adam hugged his family goodbye and moved to Toronto, Canada in his junior year and then Pittsburgh, PA in his senior high school year to play hockey. His love of family and friends drew him back home during his senior year where he completed his diploma at Lake Highland. His willingness to grab life, meet new challenges and pursue his dreams stayed with Adam into college and throughout his life. After college Adam entered a career in Sales and Marketing most recently with the vacation ownership groups at Hilton and Marriott. Adam loved live music and concerts, traveling many times with his brothers and friends to see his favorite group Phish. Adam's smile and laugh were contagious, his face could light up at an instant when around friends and family, His greatest love was for his mother and father Gail and Frank and his brothers and sister, David 25, Matthew 23, John 21 and Sarah 19 whom he protected, worried over and loved their entire lives. Adam is also survived by his maternal grandmother Hedwig Doughty of Lincoln Park, MI, his loving girlfriend Marisa Vacco, aunts Jan Schonce and Angela Carlson, Uncles Kevin Schonce and Victor Carlson and numerous relatives and cousins throughout the country. Adam was predeceased by his maternal grandfather George Doughty and his fraternal grandparents Joseph and Lorenz Garnetti. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM, Saturday, February 9, 2008 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Richard M. Walsh as celebrant. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Orlando. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday evening from 6-8PM at the funeral home with a prayer service at 7:30 with Deacon Bob Kreps. The family has asked that those who wish can make donations to the "Adam Garnetti Scholarship Fund", c/o Stonehill College, 320 Washington Street, Easton, MA 02537. Services entrusted to COLLISON FAMILY FUNERAL HOMES, HOWELL BRANCH CHAPEL, 3806 Howell Branch Road, Winter Park, Florida.
