Dean Paul Trantham, age 85, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022. Dean was born in Haywood County on April 30, 1937, to the late Grover and Agnes Rogers Trantham. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid gardener. Most of all Dean loved spending time with his great-granddaughter, Emily.
In addition to his parents, Dean was preceded in death by his wife, Isabella "Bell" Trantham; brothers, Kenneth Trantham of Mt. Vernon, TX, Dwight Trantham of Waynesville, NC, Doyle Trantham of Newport, TN; and sister, Catherine Rogers of Charlotte, NC.
Dean is survived by his son, Karl Trantham (Kandi); daughters, Allison Trantham-Hopper (Allen), Angie Trantham, and Tina Grasty; grandchildren, Dana Mull, Jessica Ledbetter, Brooke Trantham, Megan Trantham, Stevie McElroy, and Brandon Trantham; great-granddaughter, Emily Deaver; brother, Clinton (Becky) of Waynesville, NC; and sisters, Bonnie Ross of Waynesville, NC, Linda Adams (Denton) of Waynesville, NC, Marie Brown (Buster) of Newport News, VA, Wilma Dayton of Asheville, NC.
