Reineke, Norma "Dorothy

Norma "Dorothy" Reineke, age 91, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Thursday, March 06, 2014 at Harmony West of Manitowoc.

Dorothy was born on April 13, 1922 in Wonewoc, WI to the late Rudolph and Martha Voight Penshorn. She graduated from Wonewoc High School with the class of 1940. Dorothy then completed her education at UW LaCrosse where she received her Bachelor of Education Degree. On June 10, 1950, Dorothy married Willis F. Reineke at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wonewoc. Willis preceded her in death on June 4, 2000. Dorothy was a teacher for 36 years retiring from the Manitowoc Public School District in 1984. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manitowoc.

Dorothy is survived by her two children: Melanie Reineke, Manitowoc; and Dale (Debbie) Reineke, Plymouth; two grandchildren: Daniel and Kelly Reineke; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph and Martha Penshorn; husband, Willis; brother, Norvin Penshorn; sister, Frieda Ennis; and two infant siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 14, 2014 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2426 N. Rapids Road, Manitowoc. Rev. Thomas Pankow will officiate with entombment to take place at Knollwood Mausoleum. The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home & Crematory, N. 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in Dorothy's name to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church or Manitowoc Lutheran High School.

Dorothy's family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staffs of Harmony West of Manitowoc and Southern Care Hospice.
