Kitchen, 73, of Pineville died at 11:25 p.m. Saturday in Rapides General Hospital.
He was a retired mechanic with the National Guard. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1736. He was a native of Tioga.
Survivors include one son, Ellis Kitchen of Otis; three stepsons, Willie Adkinson of Pineville, Howard Adkinson of Alexandria and James Adkinson of San Antonio, Texas; one daughter, Gloria Kitchen of Ball; two stepdaughters, Mary Otte of Pineville and Polly Caskey of Tioga; one sister, Marie Beard of Alexandria; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today and until time of services Tuesday in the funeral home.
