Lt. Col. Thomas W. Gysin, U.S. Army (retired), native of Peru, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2006 in Tampa, Fla.

Mr. Gysin's 34-year career in the Army included service in World War II, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam Conflict. He was an active member of Regency Cove, including being a member of their Golf Association, and was also a member of the B.P.O.E.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Ruth.

Survivors include a son, William Gysin; daughter, Janice Burcroff; daughter Judith Meade and husband Merton; five grandchildren, David Gysin and wife Emily; Tracey and Shannon Burcroff; Marcy Kaiser; Kelly York and husband Scott; and a great-grandson, Joseph York.

He will be missed greatly by family and friends alike.


Memorial services will be held at the Regency Cove Friendship Hall in Tampa at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 27, 2006.

Donations may be sent to the Disabled American Veterans in lieu of flowers.

Arrangements are by the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4207 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.
