RAYMOND ZIMMER

Raymond W. Zimmer, age 90, of 2820 38th St., Two Rivers, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 13, 2006, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mishicot, with the Rev. Robert Johannes officiating, with entombment to follow in the Knollwood Mausoleum, Highway 310, Manitowoc.
Ray was born April 16, 1916, in the town of Kossuth to the late George and Louise Wegner Zimmer, and has been a lifelong area resident. He married the former Laurella Burmeister on June 28, 1941, at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, and she preceded him in death on May 23, 2001.
Mr. Zimmer was employed for many years at the Hamilton Manufacturing Company, and retired in 1978. He was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Happy Hopper's Dance Club, and the Shoto Sportsman's Club. He enjoyed fishing and dancing.
Survivors include one daughter: Karen Hanson, of Kiel; and one son: Merlin Zimmer, of Manitowoc; five grandchildren: Thomas Konkle, Scott (Gayle) Konkle, Paul Zimmer, Patricia (Dave) Copley and Margaret Zimmer; nine great-grandchildren; one sister: Ione Ballard, of Tisch Mills; two brothers-in-law: Orrie Burmeister and Herman (Florence) Burmeister, all of Two Rivers; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was also preceded in death by four brothers and eight sisters.
Relatives and friends may call after 10 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mishicot, until the time of service at 11 a.m. There will be noMonday evening visitation. A memorial fund has been established in his nme.
The Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home of Mishicot is assisting the Zimmer family with funeral arrangements.
