MONROE, WILMA WILGUS of Longwood, FL went to her Heavenly Home on Monday evening February 4, 2008 after a period of declining health.

Born June 12, 1915, to William and Effie Bryson Wilgus in Proctorville, OH, she graduated from the local schools and a business college. Accounting, office management and later real estate were her expertise Wilma came to
Daytona Beach to visit a cousin, where she met John A. Monroe, who became her beloved husband one year later on January 23, 1941. They celebrated their 63rd anniversary in 2004 before John preceded her to Heaven on May 23, 2004. Her passion was her Savior and the many years of Christian Counseling she enjoyed, Matthew 5:16, and being a wife and homemaker. Wilma was a member of First Baptist Church of Orlando for many years and later a charter member of Central Florida Parkway Baptist Church. She loved traveling, most special were her two trips to Israel. She was a resident of Chambrel Assisted Living in Longwood for the past three years.

Her parents, two sisters and her husband preceded her to Heaven. Surviving are one brother Julian Wilgus of Proctorville, Ohio, one sister Doris Thomas of WV, five nieces, five nephews and many many friends.
