JORUN (MARGRET) KOHLS

Jorun (Margret) Kohls, age 94, a resident of the Hamilton Care
Center, Two Rivers, formerly of 1629 Hawthorne Ave., died
Wednesday afternoon, May 13, 2009, at the Hamilton Care Center.
Margret was born October 29, 1914, in Canada to the late Sigurgeir
& Anna (Gudmonson) Johnson, and attended schools in Ebor,
Manitoba, Canada. Margret was working as a clerk for the
Unemployment Insurance Commission in Prince Rupert, British
Columbia, when she met her husband to be, Roland Kohls. They
were married in Canada in 1945, and soon after moved to the United
States, settling in Two Rivers where she worked for Paragon Electric
Co. for a few years, and later worked as a nurses aide at the Hamilton
Home until her retirement. Margret was very involved at her church,
Emanuel United Methodist Church, for many years. She also enjoyed
her flower garden, walking and most of all, enjoyed her grandchildren.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Joan Kohls,
Two Rivers; one daughter, Ronele Sousek, Mishicot; five grandchildren,
Craig (Tammy) Kohls, Kim (Camryn) Eis, James Sousek, Jeffery
Sousek, and Jon Sousek; six great-grandchildren, Brynn, Jordyn,
Casey, Brandon, Samantha, Cheyenne; and one brother, Karl Johnson
of Canada. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland; two
sisters, and a step brother.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2009, at
Emanuel United Methodist Church, 1218 Madison St., Two Rivers.
Rev. Sonia Alvarado will officiate at the service, with entombment in
Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Emanuel United Methodist
Church after 1 p.m. Sunday until the time of service at 2 p.m.
Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th St. Two Rivers, is
assisting the Kohls family with funeral arrangements.
