Funeral notice:
The funeral of Leandre J. Belliveau, 259 Beech St., was held from the Aubuchon Funeral Parlors this morning with a solemn high mass of requiem at 9 in St. Joseph's Church, celebrated by rev. Roland M Nadeau, assisted by Rev. Edward Smith as deacon and Rev. Damillo A. Avitabile as sub-deacon. The boys' choir of St. Joseph's School provided the music.
Members of the Franco-American Social Club and the Assumption Society, employes of the Fitchburg Woolen Mill and members of the Fitchburg Fire Department, Central Station, headed by Mayor George J. Bourque, attended the mass. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery and prayers were said in the Pieta Chapel by Rev. Arthur J. Brodeur and Father Avitabile and Father Nadeau.
The honorary bearers were Clarence LeBlanc, John LeBlanc and Alfred Cormier representing the Franco-American Club and Max Richard, Joseph Miller and Rhadee Richard representing the Assumption Society.
The active bearers, all nephews of Mr. Belliveau, were Robert Belliveau and John McCarthy of this city, Norman Belliveau and Gerard Belliveau of Lunenburg, Francis McCarthy of Greenwich, Conn., and Robert Roy of Cambridge.
