ORVILLE SCHAEUBLE

Orville Schaeuble, 93, died peacefully on December 29, 2008. He was a resident of the Manitowoc County Health Care Center until the time of his death. The funeral was on Friday at Faith Lutheran Church in Valders.
Orville Howard Schaeuble was born on November 9, 1916, son of Charles and Alma Wierschke Schaeuble of Greenleaf. He attended Wrightstown High School. He served in the CCC and also as a member of the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He married Alice Rogne on November 16, 1946 at Zion Lutheran Church in Shirley. He was a self employed farmer and also employed at the Brillion Iron Works until his retirement in 1978. Orville enjoyed hurting and fishing in his spare time.
Survivors include his wife, Alice; five children and their spouses, Sharon Rauber of Reedsville, Donald and Virginia Schaeuble of Reedsville, Richard of Chilton, Sonja and Daryl Gilbertson of Collins and Sheila and Stephen Kalies of Reedsville; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandsons, a great granddaughter. He is further survived by three sisters, Ruth Guerts, Ilene Wendt and Marie Ayers; sisters-in-law, Regina Schaeuble, Louis Landvatter, Ruth and Barney Opliger and Wendy and Mark Hoefert and brothers-in-law, Carl Rogne, David and Kay Rogne, Ted and Jan Rogne and Philip and Karen Rogne. Orville is also survived by other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Lee, three brothers, Gordon, Pat and Carlton; two sisters, Edith and Evelyn; five brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law. The family asks that memorials be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Wieting Funeral Home of Brillion assisted the family with arrangements.
