8/21/1918 STATE BRIEFS (Wednesday)
Drumright, Okla. – Gertrude Bessie, 17 months old daughter of Mr. & Mrs. W.E. Hostutler, died yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock after an illness of not more than twenty or thirty minutes. Her death without any previous warning caused her parents to fear that probably she had been poisoned in some way and Dr. J.C. Stevens was called in to perform an autopsy. He stated that her death was due to toxic poisoning. The parents of the child are residents of Hundred, W. Va., and were visiting here.
