PAUL LALONDE OBITUARY
A native of Leonville, La. and longtime resident of Oscar, La., he passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 10:40 pm at Pointe Coupee General Hospital in New Roads, LA. at the age of 87. He was a retired store manager at Alma Plantation and a former U.S. Navy veteran having served in the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Eva Jane Lalonde; daughter, Elizabeth Lalonde Holloway and husband William (Bill) Holloway; one grandchild, Dana Guidroz Dickinson and husband, Guy J. Dickinson; great grandchildren, Cade and Landon Dickinson. He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Aldegon Leger Lalonde; sisters, Jennie Lee Marks Lalonde, Dorsey Lee Lalonde Guillory and Juanita Lalonde Bello. A visitation will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lakeland on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 9 am until Mass of Christian Burial in the church at 11 am. Services will be conducted by Rev. Todd Lloyd. Entombment will follow at Chenal Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Cade and Landon Dickinson, Jeremy Guedry, Tony Plauche, A.J. Roppolo and Wayne Pourciau. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry LeJeune, Danny Hogan, Patrick Marks and Carroll Miller. He was a member of American Legion, VFW and Lakeland Knights of Columbus.
