Dagmar was a tragic Norwegian civilian victim of WWII. She was a victim of a terrible accident, when the Dutch ship "Voorbode" carrying 273,000 lbs of explosives, caught fire and exploded in Bergen harbor on the morning of April 20. The explosion caused massive damage to the city of Bergen, and killed 158 people, including 98 Norwegian civilians.

"OLSEN, DAGMAR SUNDSTRØM, waitress, Bergen. Born 13 June 1902 in Tromsø, daughter of Oluf Olsen, b, and d. in Tromsø, and Marie b. Sundstrøm, ds st. Was a waitress on d/s Rogaland, and died on 20 April 1944 when the ship sank in the port of Bergen during the explosion accident. Buried in Bergen. (From "Our Fallen")"
