Betty Sue Barnes passed away peacefully on October 17,2022 in Brownwood, Texas at the age of 85.

Betty was born on December 05, 1936, to ZB Inglet and Lola Inglet (Owens) in May, Texas. She was married to Bernie Barnes for 62 years [September 4, 1954 in Brownwood].

Betty resided in Eastland County for 75 years. She was a member of Church of Christ. She enjoyed yard work, painting, decorating, traveling, and crocheting. Betty especially loved playing Bingo. For 35 years Betty and her Bingo buddies would get together and play farkle. She also loved her family and spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. Betty was a special lady that will dearly be missed.

Betty was survived by her son, Brad Barnes and husband Keith Snow of Dallas, Texas, her daughter, Tammy Barnes Poteet of Abilene, Texas, her brothers Mac Inglet and Donald Inglet of Brownwood, and her granddaughter, Chelcee Poteet- Pilson and husband Aaron Pilson. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, ZB and Lola Inglet, her husband, Bernie Barnes, a son in law, Roger Poteet, a brother, Bobby Inglet, and her sisters, Lois, Earlene, Annette, Jean, Faye, Juanita, and Pat. [also, brother Zedediah Van Buren & sister, Maurrine]

Visitation for Betty Sue Barnes will be held Thursday, October 20th, 2022, from 4-6 pm at Heritage Funeral Home Davis-Morris Chapel, Brownwood, Texas.

Service will be held Friday, October 21, 2022, at 11:00 am at Heritage Funeral Home Davis- Morris Chapel with burial to follow at Rising Star Cemetery, Rising Star, Texas.
