James F. Jacquart, age 84, of Manitowoc passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.

James was born October 6, 1930 in Two Rivers, son of the late Henry and Eva (Vander Busch) Jacquart. He married the former Gloria Ann Huycke on February 17, 1957 in Tijuana, Mexico. She preceded him in death on April 4, 2001.

James served in the U.S. Army from 1949 until 1952 in Korea for the occupation of Japan. He worked as a printing press operator for Weyerhauser for 27 years before his retirement. James then worked at Mirro as a part-time security officer. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed stamp collecting, fishing, and coin collecting.

Survivors include children: Melody & David Flinn, Manitowoc; Teresa & Tony Van De Wege, Sheboygan; Ricky & Terri Jacquart, Neenah; his beloved bird "Penny"; 15 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Katherine Jacquart, Two Rivers and Stella Huycke, Colorado. James was preceded in death by wife Gloria, three brothers; an infant brother Marvin, Arnold and Merlin Jacquart, and five sisters Violet Leitner, Clarabelle Abbet, Joyce Zabler, Marlene Jacquart and Delores Kramer.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating will be Deacon Paul Gleichner with entombment to take place at Knollwood Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Town of Kossuth. Full military honors will be accorded by the American Legion Drews Bleser Post #88, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the Pfeffer Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 4 until 7 p.m. and again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
