Employed by the Rock Island Railroad, he was a Christain, Mason and father who leaves wife Brodie, and his children Mary Belle, Fern and Nadine. He leaves a sister Mrs. Callie Jones. Funeral services were at the Church of Christ with Rev. Roy Harp and graveside services by Comanche Masonic Lodge. Burial was in Fairlawn Cemetery.
