Botvid Kallman, 74, a retired sheet-metal worker for the former Wien Airlines in Alaska, died Aug. 14 at Valley Hospital after a long illness. A funeral was held at at Kehl's Palmer Mortuary with the Rev. Henry Guinotte officiating. Burial followed in the Palmer Pioneer Cemetery.
Mr. Kallman was born Feb. 8, 1917, in Wisconsin. He is survived by his daughter, Shirley Townsend of Wasilla; his sons, Wayne, Charles and James, of Anchorage; his sisters, Alva Parmenter of Los Altos, Calif., and Ruth Boatman of Grantsburg, Wis.; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
