JUNE WOELLERT OBITUARY

Woellert, June M.

June M. Woellert, age 91, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.

June was born on August 7, 1921 in Manitowoc to the late Louis and Florence Bauer Marshek. She attended grade school at the former Sacred Heart Catholic School and later graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1938. On May 11, 1946, June married Max H. Woellert at Holy Innocents Catholic Church by Rev. E. A. Radey. They had celebrated 50 years of marriage on May 11, 1996. Max preceded her in death on January 10, 2001. June and Max enjoyed many years at their cottage at Little Sturgeon and had many friends there, too. June and her friends from high school had a card club which started right after graduation and continued until the early 2000's. She was chairwoman of the class reunions for many years. June had worked at Mirro Company and then as a secretary at Manitowoc Engineering Company until her retirement in 1980. She was a member of the Manitowoc Senior Center and St. Francis of Assisi.

Survivors include June's niece: Kay (Donn) Kleis, Milwaukee; nephew: Ronald (Carol) Iraci, Beavercreek, OH; great nephew: Robert (Barbara) Marquardt, Cleveland, OH; also other relatives and many friends. June was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Max; and sister and brother-in-law: Violet and George Iraci.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 20, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Richard Klingeisen with entombment to take place at Knollwood Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Following the funeral service, a luncheon will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, N. 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
