Peter R. Bartel, age 81, of 1529 N. Woodland Drive, Two Rivers, died Friday, July 31, 1992, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot. The Rev. Bill O'Brien will officiate. Entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum.
He was born at Two Creeks, on November 20, 1911, son of the late Frank and Amelia Sinkula Bartel. He married Verena Christel on June 29, 1940, at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. He farmed on the home farm and was employed at Paragon until retiring. He was a 25 year member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4807.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Joyce Bartel, Overland Park, Kan.; a son and daughter-in-law, James and Corrine Bartel, Southfield, Mich.; one brother and three sisters-in-law, Frank and Lauretta Bartel, Sheboygan, Mrs. Mildred Bartel, Lodi, Wis., Mrs. Nona Bartel, New Jersey; one granddaughter, Leah Bennett. He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
Friends may call at the Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot, from 3-8 p.m. this evening, and on Monday, until we leave for the church at 10 a.m. A combined service by The Knights of Columbus and the Parish Memorial Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
