Services for Mrs. Sarah Eugenia Lantrip will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 15, 2008, at Midway Baptist Church, Vardaman, Mississippi with Reverend Billy Wells officiating. Burial to follow in Midway Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Lantrip, 85, of Alexandria, Louisiana, formerly of Mississippi, died Saturday, January 12, 2008, at Mathews Memorial Nursing Home. She was formerly an LPN working in Calhoun City and Houston, Mississippi. She earned her license after her children were out of school.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Danner Lantrip; her parents, Wilmer Lee & Ella Mae House Tedder, three brothers, Thomas Lee, George Edward and Melvin Tedder.
Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Nellie E. Wilkie and husband Ray of Mt. View, Arkansas and Thelma Boothe and husband David of Alexandria; sisters, Thelma V. Nichols of Calhoun City, Mississippi, Clara Mae Pounds of Woodlawn Mississippi and Wilma Rae Johnson of Vardaman, Mississippi; six grandchildren, Greg Wilkie, Carla Boothe Works, Barry Wilkie, David Allan Boothe, Bryan Wilkie and Danny Wilkie; eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, January 14, 2008, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Vardaman, Mississippi, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
