Evelyn "Peggy" Korinek, age 88, died on Wednesday morning, March 31, 2010, at Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Peggy was born on March 24, 1922, in the town of Franklin, daughter of the late Louis Frank and Anna (Havlovitz) Korinek. She attended school at Palm Grove in the town of Kossuth. Evelyn was employed at Mirro Aluminum in Manitowoc until her retirement.
Survivors include one sister: Mary Alkovich, Chicago, Ill.; one brother: Ervin "John" Korinek, Manitowoc; one sister-in-law: Martha Korinek, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Louis and Anna; three brothers: William (Bill) Korinek, Victor Korinek, and Louis Korinek; one sister: Emily; one sister-in-law: Molly Korinek and one brother-in-law: John Alkovich.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 5, 2010, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Reifs Mills. The Rev. Paul Paider will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will take place at Knollwood Mausoleum, 1500 Hwy 310, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, April 4, 2010, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 1124 Main St., Kellnersville. There will be a 6:45 p.m. prayer service led by Brenda Korinek. Visitation will continue at church on Monday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m.
The family wishes to thank the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville for their compassionate care in assisting the family and also the staff of Rivers Bend for helping to make Peggy's final days as comfortable as possible.
