Gladys Rolston
Hartford - Gladys Rolston (nee Heath), age 93 of Hartford, Wisconsin passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018.
She was born on January 6, 1925 in Manitowoc, WI to Roy and Catherine (nee Hanek) Heath.
She was devoted to her family and loved them in her special way. We are all blessed for the valuable lessons we learned from her over her many years we shared with her. Her independence and stubbornness taught us to be strong and strive to be the best we can be regardless of what life tosses our way.
She worked in the bookkeeping departments of several companies prior to her retirement. Since she was always wanting to keep busy, she volunteered in the Sussex Hamilton Elementary Schools as a reading mentor. Anyone who knows Gladys, knows that she loved to read. She was also an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Hartford and served in the women's society.
Gladys also enjoyed playing tennis, golf, bowling, and reading.
She is survived by her loving children David (Indre) Rolston, Diane (Scott) Vandenberg, and Sandy (Paul) Doubleday; her darling grandchildren, Amanda (Arturo), Crystal (Mike), Brendan (Megan), Jenessa, Matthew, and Michael; and her sweet great grandchildren, Lynkon, Liam, and Hanna. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other loved relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John.
Private services were held.
