Delbert C. Clary, 52, widely known section foreman of the N.Y.C. railroad died at 5:00 o'clock Sunday morning in the St. Elizabeth hospital, Lafayette, Indiana,following an illness of more than a year. He underwent an operation in November, last year and was apparently recovering when stricken again about six months ago. For the past few weeks his condition had been critical and death was not unexpected.

Mr. Clary, known by everyone as "Deb", was born in Gallipolis, Ohio but many years of his life was spent in Benton County, Indiana. He had been an employee of the N.Y.C. for thirty years, the past twenty-six as section foreman at Swanington and Fowler, his home at the time of death.

He was an expert track man and often served in the capacity as foreman of construction crews engaged in building new roadbeds and laying rails. He was popular with his employers and employees and his death is mourned by a host of friends. He was a member of the Presbyterian church.

Surviving besides the widow are three sons, Lowell, D.O. Clary and and Verna D.,his mother, Mrs. Alice Clary, two brothers, Irvin F. and Ira F. and a sister, Mrs. Bleva Parker.
