CLOVIS, N.M. - Andrew "Andy" Chitwood, 98, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Herbert Bergstrom officiating. Burial will be in Hollene Cemetery in Hollene.

Mr. Chitwood was born Sept. 11, 1909, in Hollis, Okla., to Seeborn and Nancy M. Anderson Chitwood. He married Vera Estell Briggs on Aug. 16, 1926, in Farwell, Texas.

Survivors include a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter.

The family suggests memorials be to Senior Olympics, P.O. Box 2690, Roswell, NM 88202-2690; or Baxter Curren Hall.
