Edward took after his father in that he spent a number of years moving around -- apparently trying to find that one spot to settle in. The Brewer Family were residing in Sherman County and the Bush Family were residing in Custer County Nebraska in 1888 just prior to the marriage of Edward and Cora. Edward & Cora's daughter Mayme was born 1888 in Colorado; their second child was born 1890 in Deuel County, Nebraska; the third was born 1892 in Garden County, Nebraska; the fourth & fifth were born 1896 & 1899 in Sherman County, Nebraska (must have liked it in Litchfield); and then the move to Alberta, Canada. The sixth child was born in Strathcona and the seventh in Patience, both in Alberta. They reentered the USA in Sep 1909 and in 1910 they are found residing in Lemmon City, Perkins, South Dakota. By 1920 they seem to have finally found that spot that was for them. In 1920 they were living in Flint Rock Twp, Perkins County, South Dakota and remained there at least through 1930.

Edward died of an accidental gun shot wound, he was mistaken for a deer while on a hunting trip in Colville, WA. The bullet struck his chest, both lungs collapsed. Death was instantaneous. He and Cora were residing at/near Edson, South Dakota. Edson is in the NE corner of Meade County and is just West of Faith. Their homestead was apparently in Perkins County / on the border with Meade County.
